About

The Investment Office is a combination of research and directories, dedicated to investment professionals. Research can be a full document publication, a quote, an excerpt, a chart or an illustration. It is essentially based on the concept of Friedrich Hayek's 1945 paper on decentralized knowledge, "The Use of Knowledge in Society".

Users of the Investment Office include pension funds, family offices, independent financial advisors, fund managers, fund selectors, CIOs and risk managers.

Founded over a decade ago as an extension of print publications for pension funds and wealth managers in Switzerland, the Investment Office consists of five sections that interact with each other: Observations Lab, Asset Management, Pension Funds, Wealth Managers, and The Library.

Observations Lab identifies relevant, non-linear, market developments from multiple sources, and match them with specific investment themes or risk factors.

Asset Management offers a dedicated module, the Research Desk, where asset managers can publish their investment research.

Pension Funds contains a detailed directory of the largest pension funds in Switzerland, together with pension funds research from multiple sources.

Wealth Managers provides a section dedicated to wealth manager research, in addition to a list of independent wealth managers, single- and multi-family offices, private banks, as well as EAM Desks in Switzerland.

The Library is a system of knowledge organization, by which resources are arranged and ordered systematically, using an experimental, playful, multi-dimensional approach to the domain.

Beyond content filtering, de-constructing and structuring, the Investment Office also aims at improving transparency and communication between the buy-side and the sell-side.
